The Task

    * You will effectively cooperate in a group to research and share ideas about a particular endangered species.

    * You will learn why protecting and saving endangered species is important to the United States.

    * Your group will create a poster displaying various facts and information about your designated endangered species.

    * As a group, you will write a persuasive essay that will be sent to your Congressional representative explaining the importance of protecting endangered species and encouraging him or her to take more action in the preservation of such animals. 

    * Your group will give a 5-10 minute presentation to the rest of the class in which you share your poster, essay, and any other interesting information that you have learned.
